Pamela Larberg

Starting my education will give me the ability to make a difference in the lives of those who may be sick and hurting, while showing my family that it is never too late to go after what you want in life.

Pamela dreamed of becoming a nurse, but marriage soon after high school and then raising three children as a single mom put other needs before her dreams. In 1993, crippling encephalitis left Pamela in physical therapy for eight years. She wasn’t intimidated – in time she was walking and appeared to be recovering – but in 2006 Pamela was again hit by major illness. By May 2008 she was confined to a wheelchair and prospects for recovery were bleak. An introduction to traditional Chinese medicine in Spring 2010 has resulted in remarkable improvements and Pamela is walking again and on the march to fulfill her dream. Today she is enrolled in a medical assistant program and eager to use this as a stepping-stone to becoming a nurse and applying her unique abilities to help others.
