Regina LeBlanc

I've always been a confident mother, but now as a student, I am a mirror image of what I want my son to be. I can now speak with authority when I express to him the importance of education, because he sees me setting the ultimate example.

Neither rainy days nor a cold economy keep this former postal carrier from delivering on her future. With the tenacity of the pit bull that ended her career with the Postal Service, Regina LeBlanc is relentless in pursuing her educational goal.

Mother of an 11-year-old son and wife of a disabled Navy veteran, Regina moved to Georgia to be near family and continue her recovery from a vicious dog attack which occurred while she was delivering mail. Optimistic that she and her husband would find employment, Regina found instead that her high school education was of little help during the challenging economic times. Returning to school became a priority. Today she is attending Atlanta Metropolitan State College and is on her way to obtaining an associate’s degree in physical therapy. She still finds time to assist in coaching youth athletes and to serve as a personal trainer helping her clients reach personal goals – giving encouragement always!
