New mother determined to turn her life around after battling drug abuse at a very early age.
Jana’s childhood was full of drugs, abuse, instability and harsh environments. She entered the foster care system at the age of nine and was moved from one home to another. By age eleven, Jana was smoking methamphetamine regularly. At twenty-eight, Jana was pregnant and desperate for a new way of life. She admitted herself to a rehabilitation facility for women and began attending college. Through dedication, study and tenacity Jana has become a top student and a dedicated part-time worker. She is on well on her way to self-sufficiency and uses her personal experiences to give hope and support to other women who’ve faced challenges in life.
